FORESTVILLE: Arthur L. Gage, 56, of Rt. 39 Forestville, NY, died Tuesday, October 1st, 2019 at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, following a short illness. He was born in Gowanda, on June 4, 1963, the son of Carol A. (Webber) Gage, a resident of Chautauqua Nursing & Rehab, Dunkirk and the late Herbert L. Gage.
He was a graduate of Forestville Central School, Class of 1981 and currently worked as a Machine Operator for Cherry Creek Woodcraft, South Dayton, for 33 years. Mr. Gage managed the family farm on Rt. 39, Forestville, was an over 20 year active member of Southern Tier Coon Hunters, Sinclairville and an avid outdoorsman & hunter.
Survivors include two daughters, Jolene (Joe) Koehler, Mariah Gage, a son Carl Gage and two sisters, Karen (Mahlon) Sommers, of Forestville; and Patricia (Bruce) Hawkins, of Dunkirk. Also surviving are his loving companion Sheila Richmond, of Forestville, two grandchildren Knox Koehler and Shiloh Gage, two nieces Brittany Hawkins & Megan (Ron) Giebner and two nephews Brandon (Sloan) Gage & Nathan Sommers.
Friends are welcome to call at Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Friday from 6-8 PM and Saturday morning from 10-11 AM from where Funeral Services will be held at 11 o’clock, with Rev. James D. Hankey, pastor of the Forestville United Methodist Church, officiating.
