FREDONIA: Denise M. Howard, 61, of Rt. 60 Fredonia, formerly of Forestville & Canandaigua, passed away Tuesday, June 7th, 2016, at her residence, surrounded by her family after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Canandaigua, NY on December 26, 1954, the daughter of the late Milton “Mickey” and Joan (Peck) Speers.
Mrs. Howard was a graduate of Canandaigua Academy, Class of 1972 and worked various jobs in and around Canandaigua before meeting the love of her life and relocating to Forestville. She became a fan of country living and youth sports. Mrs. Howard enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, playing games on the computer and settling down in the evening to watch her favorite TV shows.
Survivors include her husband Robert J. Howard of Fredonia, whom she married on July 27, 1996, in Forestville, two sons Jeffrey (Deborah Lazzaro) Klusek, of Liverpool; Jeremy (Angel Franklin) Klusek, of Machias; a daughter, Christina (Troy Smith) Klusek, of Forestville; a brother, Scott Speers, of Rochester; two sisters, Marcia Ryan, of Canandaigua and Audrey (Brian) Buck, of Kalispell, MT. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren- Karissa, Garrett, Trinity, Hannah, Olivia, Jakayla, Alexis & Jenise, several nieces, nephews & cousins.
Friends are welcome to call at Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Saturday, from 11-1 pm, from where Funeral Services will follow at 1 o’clock, with Rev. James D. Witherington, Jr., HOSPICE chaplain, officiating.
