Richard Webb, Jr., 84, a resident of Absolut at Houghton, formerly of Forestville, was called home by The Lord, as he needed another singer around the throne, Friday, July 24th, 2015, at his residence, following a lengthy illness.\u00a0 He was born in Waynesboro, PA on August 9, 1930, the son of the late Ralph Richard and Helen Louise (Shaw) Webb, Sr.<\/p>\n<p>He was a graduate of Rice Avenue High School, Girard, PA.\u00a0 Mr. Webb received his Bachelor&#8217;s Degree from Houghton College and Master&#8217;s Degree from Fredonia State.\u00a0 He worked for Forestville Central School as a Vocal Music Teacher, for 32 years and then as an Elementary Principal, for 8 years, retiring in 1995.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Webb was a member of The Wesleyan Church, NYSSMA, SPEBQSA-where he was Director of &#8220;Men of a Chord&#8221; Barbershop Chorus and performed with &#8220;Just Enough Cooks&#8221; Barbershop Quartet, traveled with the Houghton Chorale and the Men&#8217;s Quartet, directed the Northern Chautauqua Community Chorus, directed the Church Choir and was in the &#8220;Chapel Echoes&#8221; Quartet with Christ Chapel Wesleyan Church, Silver Creek, was Music Director for the Forestville Wesleyan Church and taught area children piano &amp; guitar.\u00a0 Mr. Webb loved to travel-visited all 50 states along with many countries and he especially loved The Lord.<\/p>\n<p>Survivors include his wife Patricia J. (Kirisits) Webb, of Forestville, whom he married August 16, 1958, in Derby, NY, a daughter, Cynthia Webb, of Dunkirk and a son, Ronald (Anna) Webb, of Cuba, NY.\u00a0 Also surviving are 3 grandchildren Ryan Webb, Aleyna Szot &amp; Rachel Webb, 2 step grandchildren Ashley &amp; Christopher Snyder, a nephew Ronn Pay and a niece Sherilyn Kirisits.\u00a0 Besides his parents he was predeceased by a sister Joyce Ritchie.<\/p>\n<p>Private Interment was in Pioneer Cemetery, Forestville.<\/p>\n<p>The family suggests memorial donations may be made to the The Gideons International, PO Box 140800, Nashville, TN 37214-0800.\u00a0 Arrangements are by Riles &amp; Woolley Funeral Home Forestville.\u00a0 To post condolences go to www.rilesandwoolleyfuneralhome.com.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0 HOUGHTON, NY:\u00a0 R.
