{"id":906,"date":"2015-07-23T14:55:58","date_gmt":"2015-07-23T18:55:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/rilesandwoolleyfuneralhome.com\/?p=906"},"modified":"2015-07-23T14:55:58","modified_gmt":"2015-07-23T18:55:58","slug":"obituary-notice-barbara-frances-rodriguez","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rilesandwoolleyfuneralhome.com\/?p=906","title":{"rendered":"Obituary Notice &#8211; Barbara Frances Rodriguez"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/rilesandwoolleyfuneralhome.com\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/RodriguezB.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-907\" alt=\"RodriguezB\" src=\"https:\/\/rilesandwoolleyfuneralhome.com\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/RodriguezB-150x150.jpg\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>FREDONIA:\u00a0 Barbara Frances Rodriguez, (nee Domalski) of Fredonia, died after a rapid bout with cancer, she was united with Jesus, her Savior Monday, July 20th, 2015.\u00a0 Mrs. Rodriguez was born in Toledo, OH on June 23, 1941, daughter of the late Francis D. and Dominica M. (Schultz) Domalski.<\/p>\n<p>She was a graduate of Toledo Central Catholic High School and the University of Toledo.\u00a0 Mrs. Rodriguez followed her husband&#8217;s career, living in Anaheim, CA, East Aurora, NY, Penn Yan and Fredonia.\u00a0 She formed her own Computer Consulting company from which she recently retired.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Rodriguez was a member of Holy Trinity RC Church, Dunkirk, committing her life to the Lord at the age of 25.\u00a0 An empathetic and gentle woman with a servant&#8217;s heart, she loved, accepted and respected all who came into her life.\u00a0 After visiting the Fatima Shrine in Portugal, she dedicated time each day to the Blessed Virgin Mary through the Rosary.\u00a0 As a creative &#8220;chef&#8221; she enjoyed cooking many kinds of meals.\u00a0 A baker&#8217;s daughter, she baked her own bread for her family.\u00a0 Her flower garden brightened her yard and gave joy to all passers-by.\u00a0 Mrs. Rodriguez delighted in eating the fresh produce from her vegetable garden and putting aside plenty of winter.\u00a0 From her three looms she produced many homemade weavings which she made and gave as gifts to family and friends.\u00a0 Every Christmas, she baked and gave away thousands of cookies.<\/p>\n<p>She was a Girl Scout Camp Administrator and for years she served as volunteer for various charities such as the American Cancer Society, the Heart Association, Multiple Sclerosis and Chautauqua County Rural Ministry.\u00a0 She was a group leader for the Women&#8217;s Bishop Committee and a Confraternity of Christian Doctrine teacher for pre-school and kindergarten children in East Aurora.\u00a0 Among her many activities she enjoyed reading, kayaking, canoeing, camping, swimming, solving puzzles, golf, Qigong, the ocean, traveling, science magazines, collecting Native American pottery, visiting and shopping with and for her grandchildren.\u00a0 She had a lifelong passion for dance, particularly waltz and ballet.<\/p>\n<p>She was the gentle wife, of fifty-one years, of James Richard Rodriguez of Fredonia, mother of two daughters, Ann (David) Barndt, of Hudson, MA, Sara (Thomas) Sluberski, of Lowery Crossing, TX, a son, Mark Rodriguez, of Albuquerque, NM and a brother, Francis A. Domalski, of Toledo, OH.\u00a0 Also surviving are 9 grandchildren Jonathan, Andrew &amp; Matthew Barndt, Joshua, Bianca, Isaac &amp; Faith Rodriguez, Ariel &amp; Lily Sluberski, nephew Allan Domalski and niece Emily Domalski.<\/p>\n<p>Friends are welcome to call at the Riles &amp; Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Sunday from 2-4 &amp; 7-9 pm.\u00a0 A Memorial Mass will be held from Holy Trinity RC Church, 1032 Central Avenue, Dunkirk, Monday morning at 9:30 o&#8217;clock, with Rev. Joseph Zalacca officiating.\u00a0 A recitation of the Rosary will be observed near the end of calling hours.<\/p>\n<p>The family suggests memorial donations may be made either to the HOSPICE Chautauqua County, Inc. 20 W.
