Roehner, 89, of Pearl Street, Forestville, died Wednesday, June 3rd, 2015, at his residence, after a 10 year battle with cancer.\u00a0 Mr. Roehner was born in Buffalo, NY on March 11, 1926, the son of the late Frank and Louise (Ortlieb) Roehner.<\/p>\n<p>He attended the former St. Boniface Catholic School and was a graduate of the former Boys Vocational High.\u00a0 Mr. Roehner served as a Sgt. with the Army Corp of Engineers from 1944-1946 and was a proud veteran of WW II.\u00a0 He held many jobs during his younger years including Bell Aircraft and the former Loblaws in Dunkirk-Fredonia.\u00a0 In 1963, he began a 25 year career with Prudential Insurance.\u00a0 Mr. Roehner later managed the Jamestown office for a number of years, retiring in 1989.<\/p>\n<p>He was a member of American Legion Post #62, Dunkirk, an exempt member of Forestville Fire Department and a former member of the First Ward Falcon Club, Dunkirk.\u00a0 Mr. Roehner enjoyed NASCAR and was a former dirt track racer in his early years.<\/p>\n<p>Survivors include his wife Lorraine S. (Sausman) Roehner, of Forestville, whom he married 57 years ago on August 9, 1958, three sons John Roehner, of North Charleston, SC, Robert (Maria) Roehner, of Silver Creek, Mark (Joyce) Roehner, of Chuluota, FL, two daughters, Sandra (Kerry) Vickers, of North Charleston, SC and Traci (Edward) Domenico, of Forestville.\u00a0 Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.\u00a0 Besides his parents he was predeceased by his first wife Flora Michelle (Banks) Roehner and infant son Frank James Roehner, both lost in a tragic auto accident in 1957, by 3 brothers Carl, Theodore, &amp; Florian Roehner and 2 sisters Louise and Dorothy.<\/p>\n<p>Friends are welcome to call at the Riles &amp; Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Sunday from 2-4 &amp; 7-9 pm, from where Funeral Services will be held Monday morning, at 11 o&#8217;clock, with Rev. Emory Billingsley officiating.\u00a0 Interment will follow in Forestville Cemetery, where Graveside Military Services will be conducted by members of the Dunkirk Joint Veteran&#8217;s Council.<\/p>\n<p>The family suggests memorial donations may be made either to the Forestville Fire Dept. Emergency &amp; Rescue Squad, Chestnut Street, Forestville, NY 14062 or to the American Cancer Society, 101 John J.
