Reardon, 97, of Rt. 39, Forestville, died Sunday, March 8th, 2015 at his residence.\u00a0 He was born in Dunkirk, on October 26, 1917, the son of the late John J. and Edith (Mosher) Reardon.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Reardon served in the U.S. Army during WW II.\u00a0 He worked as a Store Manager for Smith&#8217;s True Value, Irving and also previously worked for the former Alcoa Products, Dunkirk.\u00a0 Mr. Reardon was a member of St. Rose of Lima RC Church, Forestville, at one time was an Assessor for the Town of Sheridan, belonged to many local organizations and volunteered with the Food Bank of WNY.\u00a0 He enjoyed fishing &amp; hunting.<\/p>\n<p>Survivors include a daughter, Kathleen Reardon, of Forestville, a brother William (Helen) Reardon of Dunkirk, a granddaughter Julia (Michael) Christian of Forestville, 3 great grandchildren Skyler, Gavin &amp; Madison Christian and companion Barb Tower of Forestville.\u00a0 Also surviving are several nieces &amp; nephews.\u00a0 Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife Rita (Gautcher) Reardon, whom he married June 15, 1945 in Dunkirk and who died April 27, 1986 and 2 brothers Donald &amp; Robert Reardon.<\/p>\n<p>Friends are welcome to call at the Riles &amp; Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Wednesday from 2-4 &amp; 7-9 pm, from where Prayer Services will be held Thursday morning at 9:30 o&#8217;clock followed by A Mass of Christian Burial from St. Rose of Lima RC Church, Center Street, Forestville, at 10 o&#8217;clock, with Rev. Daniel F. Fiebelkorn, pastor officiating.\u00a0 Interment will follow in St. Mary&#8217;s Cemetery, Dunkirk.<\/p>\n<p>The family suggests memorial donations may be made either to the Faith Community of Our Lady of Mt.
