FORESTVILLE:\u00a0 Ronald E. Rankin, 80, of Whitaker Road, Forestville, died suddenly, Friday, February 13th, 2015 at Brooks Memorial Hospital, Dunkirk.\u00a0 He was born in Dunkirk on February 5, 1935, the son of the late Walter and Julie (Kulpa) Raczka.\u00a0 Mr. Rankin worked for the former Al-Tech Specialty Steel, Corp Dunkirk, for 40 years.<\/p>\n
Survivors include his wife Gail P. (Allenbrand) Rankin of Forestville, whom he married on October 19, 1957, a son Keith Rankin of Dunkirk, three daughters, Sandra Hanley, of Panama, Marla Carter, of Jamestown, Laura (Jeff) Ball, of Forestville another son Craig Rankin, of Forestville, two sisters, Joan Raczka, of Dunkirk and Ardene (James) Dimmer, of Forestville.\u00a0 Also surviving are 6 grandchildren Kimberly Hanley, Lisa Carter, Natalie Ball, Sara Carter, Angela Carter and Ashley Ball.\u00a0 Besides his parents he was predeceased by a brother David Raczka, Sr.<\/p>\n
There will be no visitation observed.\u00a0 A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday morning, February 28, 2015 at 11 o’clock from St. Rose of Lima RC Church, Center Street, Forestville, with Rev.
