{"id":739,"date":"2014-12-08T19:14:13","date_gmt":"2014-12-09T00:14:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/rilesandwoolleyfuneralhome.com\/?p=739"},"modified":"2014-12-08T19:14:13","modified_gmt":"2014-12-09T00:14:13","slug":"obituary-notice-nicholas-j-nick-muck","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rilesandwoolleyfuneralhome.com\/?p=739","title":{"rendered":"Obituary Notice- Nicholas J. &#8220;Nick&#8221; Muck"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/rilesandwoolleyfuneralhome.com\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/MuckN.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-740\" alt=\"MuckN\" src=\"https:\/\/rilesandwoolleyfuneralhome.com\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/MuckN-150x150.jpg\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/rilesandwoolleyfuneralhome.com\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/MuckN-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/rilesandwoolleyfuneralhome.com\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/MuckN-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/rilesandwoolleyfuneralhome.com\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/MuckN.jpg 720w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a>FORESTVILLE:\u00a0 Nicholas J. &#8220;Nick&#8221; Muck, 28, of Forestville, died unexpectedly in his sleep, Sunday, December 7th, 2014.\u00a0 He was born in Dunkirk on June 13, 1986, the son of Steven J and Sandra (Harp) Muck, of Forestville.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0 Nick was the Class of 2004 Salutatorian of Forestville Central School, currently worked as a Journeyman Lineman with the IBEW Local #1249, for nearly a decade, was most recently stationed on a project in Niagara Falls, NY and had also previously worked for Asplundh, for 3 years.<\/p>\n<p>As an experienced journeyman lineman, Nick traveled to many of the country&#8217;s worst weather disasters, working around the clock to get electricity back to customers after hurricanes, blizzards, floods and ice storms.\u00a0 He loved the adventure and service of his chosen career, often posing for pictures while dangling hundreds of feet over some distant skyline with an incredible view.\u00a0 He was a past member of the Forestville Fire Department, where he was an EMT, was awarded Firefighter of the Year in 2005 and was a member of Family Church, South Dayton.<\/p>\n<p>Nick &amp; his wife Ally loved to travel and saw much of the United States, England &amp; Ireland during their 5 1\/2 years of marriage.\u00a0 They often pulled their camper along to Nick&#8217;s worksites around the United States, from Maine to California.\u00a0 Most recently they visited New York City during the Thanksgiving holiday, taking time to walk around Central Park and shop at Bloomingdale&#8217;s.<\/p>\n<p>He was a devoted husband and passionate about his family, his faith and his music.\u00a0 He played the guitar for hours and memorized riffs of his favorite songs. \u00a0Nick was an avid movie watcher and could quote lines verbatim from dozens of movies-and always at the right time.\u00a0 He was a good friend and companion, always able to lighten the mood with a joke or story, but always interested in the stories of others, too.<\/p>\n<p>Nick underwent open heart surgery to repair a congenital valve defect 2 years ago, but worked hard to rehabilitate and return to work and good health.\u00a0 He had a zest for life and adventure, an infectious laugh and a sense of fun that all who knew him will forever miss.<\/p>\n<p>Besides his parents, survivors include his wife Allison &#8220;Ally&#8221; (Penharlow) Muck, their beloved cat, Moses B. &#8220;Mo&#8221; Muck, two brothers, Steven (Ericka) Muck, of Hardeeville, SC, Benjamin (Christy) Muck, of Cherry Creek, maternal grandfather Dave Harp of Smith Mills, paternal grandmother Gerry Bartlett of Cedar Park, TX, 2 brother-in-laws Chad Paolini, Jack Penharlow and 2 sister-in-laws Tiffany Penharlow, Dr. Olivia (Theodore) Widger.\u00a0 Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces &amp; nephews.\u00a0 He was predeceased by his Maternal Grandmother Mary Ann Harp and Paternal Grandfather James Muck.<\/p>\n<p>Friends are welcome to call at the Riles &amp; Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Wednesday evening from 7-9 pm and on Thursday from 2-4 &amp; 7-9 pm, from where Funeral Services will be held Friday morning at 11 o&#8217;clock, with Rev.
