Brown, 74, of Newton Street, Dunkirk, died Thursday, February 13th, 2014 at Brooks Memorial Hospital, following a short illness.\u00a0 She was born in the Town of Hanover, on April 29, 1939, the daughter of the late Abel Giles and Anna (Kovitch) Dawley.<\/p>\n<p>She was a graduate of Silver Creek Central School, Class of 1957 and worked for the former Ralston Purina, Dunkirk, for over 20 years.\u00a0 Mrs. Brown was also an area Craft Vendor.\u00a0 Mrs. Brown was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Dunkirk and active with their bible study group, was a member with the Red Hat Society, South Dayton and the Ralston Purina retirees luncheon group.\u00a0 She enjoyed playing bingo, cards, golf, bowling, traveling and wintering in Lakeshore, FL.<\/p>\n<p>Survivors include her husband Marshall O. Brown, whom she married February 14, 1990, in Christ Chapel Wesleyan Church, Silver Creek, two daughters, Teresa Daniels, of Erie, PA, Jacqueline Daniels, of Westfield, three sons Steven (Petra) Daniels, of Besigheim, Germany, Mark (Susan) Brown, of Orlando, FL, Lawrence Brown, of Forestville and a sister Betty Cagley of Falls Church, Virginia.\u00a0 Also surviving are 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and several nieces &amp; nephews.\u00a0 Besides her parents she was predeceased by her first husband Lowell Douglas Daniels.<\/p>\n<p>Friends are welcome to call at the Riles &amp; Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Sunday from 2-4 &amp; 7-9 pm from where Funeral Services will be held Monday morning, at 11 o&#8217;clock, with Pastor Judith Cole of the First United Methodist Church, Dunkirk, officiating.\u00a0 Interment will follow in Balltown Cemetery, Town of Hanover.<\/p>\n<p>The family suggests memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 15 East 6th Street, Dunkirk, NY 14048.\u00a0 To post condolences go to www.rilesandwoolleyfuneralhome.com.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>DUNKIRK:\u00a0 Virginia R.
