Van Rensselaer, 92, of Old Main Road, Silver Creek, died Thursday, September 19th, at the Chautauqua County Home, Dunkirk, following a short illness.\u00a0 She was born in Stockton, on February 28, 1921, the daughter of the late Edward and Rosea (Palmer) Nickerson.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Van Rensselaer owned &amp; operated a Grape Farm on Old Main Road, Silver Creek, for over 60 years and was also one of the oldest members of Welch&#8217;s Grape Co-op.\u00a0 She was a member of the Pioneer Social Club, Forestville, where she was involved with many committees.\u00a0 Mrs. Van Rensselaer also enjoyed doing crafts, baking &amp; cooking.\u00a0 She especially enjoyed her grandchildren.<\/p>\n<p>Survivors include a daughter, Rosella (Ken) Crabb Kozlowski, of Silver Creek, a son, Richard (Barbara) Van Rensselaer, of Silver Creek, 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.\u00a0 Also surviving are several nieces &amp; nephews.\u00a0 Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Ralph Van Rensselaer, whom she married on February 4, 1940, by 4 brothers Clyde, Lee, twin-Pete and infant- Norman Nickerson and by a sister Lottie Nickerson.<\/p>\n<p>There will be no visitation observed.\u00a0 Funeral Services will be held Monday morning at 11 o&#8217;clock from the Chapel of Glenwood Cemetery, Old Main Road, Silver Creek, with Rev. Michael Stitzel, pastor of the Forestville Baptist Church and Rev. Bruce Ellis, pastor of the Forestville Wesleyan Church, officiating.<\/p>\n<p>The family suggests memorial donations may be made either to the Forestville Baptist Church, PO Box 67, Forestville, NY 14062 or to the Silver Creek Fire Dept.
