FORESTVILLE:\u00a0 Andrew Dobony, Jr., 79, of King Road, Forestville, died unexpectedly, Friday, August 30th, at UPMC Hamot Medical Center, Erie, PA.\u00a0 He was born in Wilkes-Barre, PA on October 2, 1933, the son of the late Andrew and Susan (Ketcham) Dobony, Sr.<\/p>\n
He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955 as a Pfc.\u00a0 Mr. Dobony worked as a Brakeman for South Buffalo Railway, Lackawanna, for over 30 years.\u00a0 He was a member of the United Transportation Union and the Fredonia Memorial American Legion Post #59.\u00a0 Mr. Dobony enjoyed hunting & woodworking.<\/p>\n
Survivors include his wife Carolyn (Silvernail) Dobony of Forestville, a daughter, Andrea (Jerry) Kinney, of Fredonia, a son, Christopher (Robyn) Dobony, of Watertown and several sisters.\u00a0 Also surviving are 2 grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.\u00a0 Besides his parents he was predeceased by 1 sister and 2 brothers.<\/p>\n
There will be no visitation or services observed.\u00a0 The family suggests memorial donations may be made either to the American Heart Association 20 Northpointe, Suite 130 Amherst, NY 14228 or to Fredonia Memorial American Legion Post #59, Main Street, Fredonia, NY 14063.<\/p>\n
