FORESTVILLE:\u00a0 Ardys W. Murphy, 83, of Bradigan Road, Forestville, formerly of Lancaster, NY, died Wednesday, June 26th, at the Absolut at Westfield, following a short illness.\u00a0 Mrs. Murphy was born in Depew, on July 15, 1929, the daughter of the late Oscar and Karena (Steiner) Weitman.<\/p>\n
She graduated from Depew High School and enjoyed studying history and listening to jazz.\u00a0 Mrs. Murphy loved living in Forestville and being part of the community.<\/p>\n
Survivors include two sons Kevin (Carol) Murphy, of Kenmore, William Murphy, Jr., of Buffalo, a daughter, Lauren (Tom LaValley) Murphy, of Frederick, MD and a sister, Delores Viscusi, of Arizona.\u00a0 Also surviving are 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.\u00a0 Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband William F. Murphy, Sr., whom she married July 22, 1947 in the Bowmansville United Methodist Church and who died December 18, 2004, by her daughter Pamela Murphy-Cleary and by a sister Muriel Murphy.<\/p>\n
