Hite-Wilson, 69, of Hanover Road, Silver Creek, died Thursday, July 9, 2026 at Chautauqua Nursing &amp; Rehab, Dunkirk, following a short illness. She was born in Dunkirk on March 5, 1957, the daughter of the late Lowell and Jean (Herko) Whitehead.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; Cindy was a graduate of Fredonia High School, Class of 1975 and received her RN degree from JCC. She worked as a Registered Nurse at Brooks Memorial Hospital in Dunkirk for 44 years.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp; Cindy was an avid bowler, beloved Dialysis Nurse for Brooks Hospital, enjoyed traveling, going to the Casino, spending time with her grandchildren, was a dedicated grandmother and was a great writer.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp; Survivors include husband of 27 years, Michael Wilson of Silver Creek, whom she married on February 6, 1999 in Fredonia, a daughter Jennifer Hite, of Dunkirk, a son Joshua (Kim) Hite, of Punta Gorda, FL, a stepson Christopher (Becky) Wilson, of Jackson, MI, and two sisters Penny Kalfas and Polly Lord, both of Fredonia. Also surviving are six grandchildren; Gavin, Nichaela, Cadence, &amp; Jianna Cave, Adaliah &amp; Kysen Hite, a step great-granddaughter Melody and several nieces &amp; nephews.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp; Friends are welcome to call at Riles &amp; Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Thursday from 2-4 &amp; 7-9 pm. Funeral Services will be held Friday morning at 11 o\u2019clock from St. Paul Lutheran Church, 334 Temple Street, Fredonia, with Rev. Matthew Schettler, pastor officiating. Interment will follow in Willowbrook Park Cemetery, Dunkirk.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; The family suggests memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 334 Temple Street, Fredonia, NY 14063.
