George, 95, of Chemar Drive, Silver Creek, died Friday, February 6, 2026 at Chautauqua Nursing &amp; Rehab, Dunkirk, following a short illness. He was born in Silver Creek on October 10, 1930, the son of the late Lawrence and Margaret (Meller) George.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; Frederick was a graduate of Silver Creek Central School, Class of 1949 and served in the Army. He was the owner of the former Fred&#8217;s Texaco in Irving and at one time worked for the Village of Silver Creek as a Mechanic. Frederick was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel RC Church in Silver Creek.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; Survivors include his son Kevin (Kathy) George of Acworth, GA and a sister Joan Thompson of Mesa, AZ. Also surviving are a daughter-in-law Karen Carlson of Fredonia, two grandchildren; Jessica (Nate) Miller of Fredonia &amp; Kelsey (Nick) Spratt of North Port, FL and a great granddaughter Ava Miller. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife Sandra (Ormsby) George, whom he married on March 2, 1957 in Mt. Carmel, Silver Creek and who died on March 25, 2021, a son Jeffrey George, two grandsons Jimi &amp; Derek George and a sister Gerry Smith.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; A Celebration of Life is planned for a later date and private interment will be at the convenience of the family in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Silver Creek. The family suggests memorials may be made either to Faith Community of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel RC Church, 165 Central Avenue, Silver Creek, NY 14136 or Silver Creek Fire Dept. Emergency &amp; Rescue Squad, 162 Central Avenue, Silver Creek, NY 14136.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; Arrangements are by Riles &amp; Woolley Funeral Home, Forestville.
