Arnold, 88, of Mill Road, Mayville, formerly of Forestville, died Friday, November 23rd, at his residence, following a short illness.\u00a0\u00a0 He was born in the Town of Arkwright, on February 16, 1924, the son of the late Clifford and Millie (Bartkowski) Arnold.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Arnold served in the U.S. Army as a Corporal during WW II and worked as a Groundman for the former Niagara Mohawk, Fredonia, for 34 years, retiring in 1984.\u00a0 He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling &amp; playing cards.<\/p>\n<p>Survivors include his wife Dorothy J. (Golden) Arnold, of Mayville, whom he married on May 8, 1948, in the Forestville Baptist Church, five sons Larry (Pamela) Arnold, of Mayville, Bob Arnold, of Cherry Creek, Wade (Janet) Arnold, of Perrysburg, Gary Arnold, of Mayville, Timothy (Debbie) Arnold, of Lexington, KY, a daughter, Cheryl (Steve) Harrington, of Fredonia, and a sister, Lorraine Bannister, of Arcade.\u00a0 Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and several nieces &amp; nephews.\u00a0 Besides his parents he was predeceased by a brother Alfred Arnold and a sister Doris Arnold.<\/p>\n<p>Friends are welcome to call at the Riles &amp; Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Tuesday from 2-4 &amp; 7-9 pm, from where Funeral Services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1 o&#8217;clock, with Christopher Arnold, grandson of the deceased, officiating.\u00a0 Interment will follow in Forestville Cemetery.<\/p>\n<p>The family suggests memorial donations may be made either to HOSPICE Chautauqua County, Inc. 20 W.
