Griffith, 77, of Prospect Street Forestville, died peacefully, Sunday, October 28th, surrounded by her loving family, at her residence.\u00a0 She was born in Buffalo, on September 13, 1935, the daughter of the late Henry and Mary (Nowyrta) Waligora, Sr.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Griffith was a graduate of Forestville Central School, Class of 1953 and worked as an Office Manager for the former Carnation Company, South Dayton, retiring after 20 years of service.\u00a0 She was a member of St. Rose of Lima RC Church, Forestville, an active member of the St. Rose Society, a member of the Kosciuszko Club, and the Dom Polski Club, both of Dunkirk.\u00a0 She never missed an Alumni Banquet at Forestville Central School, was an avid Buffalo Bills Fan and enjoyed gardening and baking.\u00a0 Mrs. Griffith especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.<\/p>\n<p>Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Richard J. Griffith, Sr. of Forestville, a son, Richard J. (Elizabeth) Griffith, Jr., of Fredonia, two step daughters, Rhonda (Craig) LaCorata, of Fort Mill, SC, Monica (John) Rehm, of Lake Wylie, NC, a sister, Rose Troutman, of Forestville, two brothers, Walter Waligora, of Forestville and Robert Waligora, of Dunkirk.\u00a0 Also surviving are 7 grandchildren Emily, Alexandra &amp; AnnMarie Griffith, Carrina &amp; Gabrielle LaCorata and Lauren &amp; Samantha Rehm and several nieces &amp; nephews.\u00a0 Besides her parents she was predeceased by 6 sisters, Genevieve Waligora, Lottie Waligora, Julie Gajewski, Emily Lodyga, Jane Waligora, Mary Press and by 3 brothers, Henry Waligora, Jr., Bronislaus Waligora and Casimer Waligora.<\/p>\n<p>Friends are welcome to call at the Riles &amp; Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Tuesday from 2-4 &amp; 7-9 pm, from where Prayer Services will be held Wednesday morning at 10:30 o&#8217;clock followed by A Mass of Christian Burial from St. Rose of Lima RC Church, Center Street, Forestville, at 11 o&#8217;clock, with Rev. Daniel F. Fiebelkorn, pastor officiating.\u00a0 Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Forestville Cemetery.<\/p>\n<p>The family suggests memorial donations may be made either to the Faith Community of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St. Rose of Lima Church, 165 Central Avenue Silver Creek, NY 14136 or to Forestville Fire Dept.
