Gens, 74, of Sheridan, passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 28th, 2024 at Chautauqua Nursing &amp; Rehab Center, Dunkirk.&nbsp; Wendy was born in Dunkirk on May 28, 1950, daughter of Martha (Ehrke) Gens, of Sheridan and the late Ronald I. Gens.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; She worked at Country Fair, Fredonia, for 20 years.&nbsp; Wendy lived with her parents in Sheridan and helped out on the family farm until they moved into town.&nbsp; She loved playing the accordion by ear, very well.&nbsp; Wendy entertained many at family gatherings, church services, the Chautauqua County Home and St. Columban&#8217;s.&nbsp; She loved animals and had numerous dogs.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; Surviving besides her mother are twin brothers, Monte (Jane) Gens, of Sheridan and Martin Gens, of Humble, TX.&nbsp; Besides her father she was predeceased by a sister Sally (Joe) Aranzullo, a brother John Gens and infant brother Curtis Gens.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; Services are private and at the convenience of family.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;Arrangements are by Riles &amp; Woolley Funeral Home, Forestville.&nbsp; To post condolences or memories go to www.rilesandwoolleyfuneralhome.com.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SHERIDAN:&nbsp; Wendy A.
