Darlene (Spoon) Shevlin, 86, of Hopper Road, Forestville, died Friday, June 14th, 2024 at her residence, following a lengthy illness.&nbsp; She was born in Clymer, NY on March 8, 1938, the daughter of the late Fred and Minnie (Dewey) Spoon.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; Darlene worked as a bookkeeper for the former Shevlin&#8217;s Sunoco Irving, for 18 years.&nbsp; She also at one time worked as an assembler for the former Forbes &amp; Wagner in Silver Creek and as a waitress for both the former Irving Diner and the former May&#8217;s Diner.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; Darlene was a member of the Forestville United Methodist Church, a past member of the former Hanover Grange #595 and was a foster mother.&nbsp; She loved to knit &amp; sew, enjoyed flowers &amp; gardens and worked on family genealogy.&nbsp; Darlene especially loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; Survivors include two daughters, Deborah Threlkeld and Denise Shevlin, both of Forestville; two sons James (Shirley) Shevlin, Jr., of Silver Creek; and Jeff Shevlin, Sr., of Dunkirk.&nbsp; Also surviving are twelve grandchildren; TImothy, Robert, Sheri, Anna, Kathleen, Christopher, Jeffrey, Michael, Matthew, Rachel, Chartae &amp; Tiffany, two great grandchildren Mikhail &amp; Elliana and several nieces &amp; nephews.&nbsp; Besides her parents she was predeceased by two sisters, Earldine Christiensen and Shirley Bigler and by four brothers, Fred E. Spoon, Jr., James D. Spoon and Robert R. Spoon &amp; William Spoon.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; Friends are welcome to call at Riles &amp; Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM from where Funeral Services will be held at 11 o&#8217;clock Thursday, with Rev.
