Cruver, 83, of Pennington Drive, Cassadaga, formerly of Forestville, passed away Monday, March 11th, 2024 at Erie County Medical Center, Buffalo, following a short illness with her family by her side.&nbsp; She was born in Buffalo on January 18, 1941, the daughter of the late Joseph and Angeline (Vastola) Ujvari.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; Joann was a graduate of Orchard Park High School, Class of 1959 and received her degree in Industrial Chemistry from the Erie County Technical Institute.&nbsp; She worked as an Assistant Technical Director for Roblin Seaway Industries after college and loved being a full time mother to her four children. Once her children were in high school, Joann worked for Nestle Purina as a Maintenance Coordinator for over 30 years. After losing her beloved husband of 40 years, she traveled frequently to Nashville &amp; San Francisco to visit her girls.&nbsp; When she retired from Purina she moved to Cassadaga becoming the best neighbor a son could ask for.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; Joann was active in the Grape Belt Seniors where she made many special friends.&nbsp; She enjoyed gardening, cooking her special recipes &amp; most of all, being with her family, including large Thanksgiving gatherings at their King Road home in Forestville, and cheering on the Bills with her son&#8217;s family in Amherst. Joann had an eclectic taste in music enjoying old country, Elvis and Queen. Her infectious positivity &amp; sunny personality extended not only to family, but all who knew her.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; Survivors include two daughters, Cheryl (Nigel Burns) Cruver, of San Francisco, CA; Kathleen Cruver, of Nashville, TN; two sons James (Jennifer) Cruver, of Amherst; Ron (Cathy) Cruver, of Cassadaga; and a brother, John (Barbara) Ujvari, of Orchard Park.&nbsp; Also surviving are seven grandchildren; William &amp; Emma Burns, Olivia Graves, Samuel &amp; Thomas Cruver and Sarah &amp; Madeline Cruver.&nbsp; Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband James W. Cruver whom she married on August 1, 1964 in Orchard Park and who died August 1, 2004, a sister Dolores Borchert and a brother Joseph Ujvari.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; Friends are welcome to call at Riles &amp; Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Friday, March 15th from 12-2 PM and 3-5 PM, where Funeral Services will follow at 5 o&#8217;clock with Rev.
