Jopek, Jr., 64, of Creek Road, Forestville, passed away Thursday, March 7th, 2024 at Brooks Memorial Hospital, Dunkirk, following a short illness.&nbsp; He was born in Dunkirk on August 8, 1959, the son of the late Stanley G. and Jean (Nelson) Jopek, Sr.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; Stanley was a graduate of Fredonia Central School, Class of 1979 and worked as a Press Operator for Bailey Manufacturing Company, LLC Forestville, for approximately 40 years.&nbsp; He served in the NY Army National Guard, was a Life member and past Assistant Chief of the Forestville Fire Department and a member of the Chautauqua County Fire Police Response Team.&nbsp; Stanley enjoyed hunting &amp; fishing.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; Survivors include two daughters, Kristin (Jeremy) Coen, Patricia (Aaron) Grover, a son, Shawn (Karla Marie) Jopek, two step children, Jeffrey (Kristin) Kuciapinski and Stacey (Jasen) Erick, three sisters, Debora (James) Perry, of Georgia; Sandra Mitchell, Eileen (Brian) Jopek, both of California.&nbsp; Also surviving are eight grandchildren Timothy &amp; Sarah, Carl, Tyler, Rivers, Cypress &amp; Laken and Jacob, five step-grandchildren Madeline, Emma &amp; Lily Kuciapinski and Brooke &amp; Laurel Erick, companion Lisa Hontz and several nieces &amp; nephews.&nbsp; Besides his parents he was predeceased by his longtime companion Nancy L. Panek.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; Private Interment will be in Forestville Cemetery, Town of Hanover.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; The family suggests memorials may be made either to the Chautauqua County Volunteer Fire Police Assn, Inc. 2 Academy Street, Suite A, Mayville, NY 14757 or to the Forestville Fire Department, Inc. PO Box 299, Forestville, NY 14062.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; Arrangements are by Riles &amp; Woolley Funeral Home.
