FREDONIA: Audrey M. Schmoyer, 90, of Fredonia, passed away Tuesday, April 18th, 2023 at her residence. She was born in the Town of Arkwright on November 12, 1932, the daughter of the late Daryl and Alzana (Cardot) McAvoy.<\/p>\n
Audrey was a graduate of Forestville Central School, Class of 1950 and worked as a Bookkeeper for the former Forest Hill Cemetery, Association in Fredonia, for over 20 years, retiring in 2014. She was a member of Benjamin Prescott DAR chapter in Fredonia and enjoyed baking, cooking, square dancing and especially being with her nieces & nephews.<\/p>\n
Survivors include a sister, Joyce Grabow, of Bolivar, NY; three brothers, John (Mickey) McAvoy, of Jamestown; Claude (Deby) McAvoy, and Brian (Sue) McAvoy, both of Fredonia. Also surviving are many nieces & nephews and great nieces & nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Morris N. Schmoyer whom she married on April 3, 1954 in the Town of Arkwright and who died February 17, 2004.<\/p>\n
Friends are welcome to call at Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Friday from 11AM-1 PM. From where Funeral Services will be held at 1 PM with Rev. Michael Pollock, pastor of Gage Chapel Community Church, Smith Mills, officiating. Private Interment will be in Burnham Hollow Cemetery, Town of Arkwright.<\/p>\n
