Lucas, 95, of Rt. 83 Cherry Creek, passed away Sunday, September 4th, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.&nbsp; She was born in Dunkirk on September 19, 1926, the daughter of the late LaVern and Bernice (Forester) Deering.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; Madeline attended Forestville Central School and worked for the former Bedford Canning Factory in Sheridan, during World War II.&nbsp; She was a member of South Dayton Free Methodist Church and was previously a member of the Forestville Wesleyan Church.&nbsp; Madeline was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother &amp; great-great grandmother who loved to crochet, bake and read.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; Survivors include two daughters, Carolynn (Gerald) Case, of Forestville; Darlene Anderson, of Dunkirk; three sons Richard (Jean) Lucas, of South Dayton; James (Marge) Lucas, of Dunkirk; Ronald (Debra) Lucas, of South Dayton; twin sisters, Minnie Gollnitz, of Fredonia; and Marie Derbey, of Jamestown.&nbsp; Also surviving are thirteen grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren and many nieces &amp; nephews.&nbsp; Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Frank J. Lucas, whom she married on October 12, 1945 at Parcell&#8217;s Corners and who died January 9, 2011, a grandson Aaron Lucas, five sisters Eve Springer, Eldean Cook, Gertrude \u201cVirginia\u201d Pfluger, Juanita Fluker, Reva Luczkowiak and infant twin brothers.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; Friends are welcome to call at Riles &amp; Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Wednesday from 4-7 PM, from where Funeral Services will be held Thursday morning at 11 o&#8217;clock.&nbsp; Interment will follow in Arkwright Summit Cemetery, Town of Arkwright.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; The family suggests memorials may be made either to Chautauqua Hospice &amp; Palliative Care, 20 W.
