FORESTVILLE:  Richard C. Morse, 90, of Lodi Street, Forestville, passed away Tuesday, February 15th, 2022 at home with his wife by his side.  He was born in the Town of Sheridan on March 24, 1931, the son of the late Clarence and Myrtle (Cummings) Morse.<\/p>\n

  He was a graduate of Fredonia Central School, Class of 1950.  He served in the U.S. Air Force at the Offet Air Force Base in Omaha, Nebraska during the Korean War.  Richard worked as a Serviceman for National Fuel Gas Dunkirk, retiring on Nov. 1, 1987, after 24 years of loyal continuous service.<\/p>\n

  He was a member of the Republican Club, Northern Chautauqua Rifle Club, and a past Trustee of the former Village of Forestville, starting in April 1969, where he served as Deputy Mayor from 1973-1975.  Richard also served on the Town of Hanover Planning Board.<\/p>\n

  Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Ruth W. (Wilson) Morse of Forestville, whom he married on October 5, 1956, in Fredonia and several cousins.  Besides his parents he was predeceased by a sister & brother.<\/p>\n

  Services are private and at the convenience of family.  Private Interment will be in Forestville Cemetery.<\/p>\n

  The family suggests memorials may be made to Forestville Fire Department, Inc. PO Box 299, Forestville, NY 14062.<\/p>\n
