Morse"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>FORESTVILLE:&nbsp; Richard C. Morse, 90, of Lodi Street, Forestville, passed away Tuesday, February 15th, 2022 at home with his wife by his side.&nbsp; He was born in the Town of Sheridan on March 24, 1931, the son of the late Clarence and Myrtle (Cummings) Morse.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; He was a graduate of Fredonia Central School, Class of 1950.&nbsp; He served in the U.S. Air Force at the Offet Air Force Base in Omaha, Nebraska during the Korean War.&nbsp; Richard worked as a Serviceman for National Fuel Gas Dunkirk, retiring on Nov. 1, 1987, after 24 years of loyal continuous service.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; He was a member of the Republican Club, Northern Chautauqua Rifle Club, and a past Trustee of the former Village of Forestville, starting in April 1969, where he served as Deputy Mayor from 1973-1975.&nbsp; Richard also served on the Town of Hanover Planning Board.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Ruth W. (Wilson) Morse of Forestville, whom he married on October 5, 1956, in Fredonia and several cousins.&nbsp; Besides his parents he was predeceased by a sister &amp; brother.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; Services are private and at the convenience of family.&nbsp; Private Interment will be in Forestville Cemetery.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; The family suggests memorials may be made to Forestville Fire Department, Inc.
