SOUTH DAYTON:  Terrance “Terry” C. Crowell, 72, of South Dayton, passed away Wednesday, January 6th, 2021 at Dunkirk Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, from Parkinson’s and Lewy Body Dementia.<\/p>\n

  He was born on March 25, 1948 and was a graduate of Pine Valley Central School, Class of 1966.  Terry enlisted in the US Air Force attaining the rank of E4 Sergeant.  After his discharge, he was employed for 25 years at Nestle\/Carnation in South Dayton, until the plant closure.  He then worked as a Highway Maintenance worker for the NYS Dept. of Transportation at the Town of Ellicott shop, retiring after 15 years, where he looked forward to plowing snow every winter.<\/p>\n

  Survivors include his loving wife of 49 years Donna, whom he married on November 6, 1971, a daughter, Michelle (Corey) Swanson, of Kennedy; a son, Eric (Julie) Crowell, of Fredonia; grandsons Cameron & Colin Crowell, step grandchildren Sidney, Brendon and Evan Swanson, four sisters, Barbara Marowski, Betty Crowell, Brenda West, Bridget Johnson, sisters-in-law Janice Putney-Bromley, Susan Sysol, brothers-in-law Charlie Johnson, Gerry West, Jeff Johnson, Dennis Burek, Tim Burek, lifelong friends whom he considered brothers Paul Bradley and Jim Bradigan.  Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was predeceased by his parents Walter and MaryJane Crowell, a sister Bonnie Johnson and in-laws Walter and Stevanna Burek.<\/p>\n

  Friends are welcome to call at Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Saturday, September 18th from 10-11am, from where A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 o’clock<\/strong> with Pastor Jennifer Delahoy, of Kennedy First United Methodist Church, officiating.  Interment will follow in Forestville Cemetery where Graveside Military Services will be conducted by members of South Dayton American Legion Post #1593.<\/p>\n

  Due to health concerns, the family requests that masks be worn to attend services.<\/strong><\/p>\n
