{"id":2137,"date":"2021-02-08T08:55:47","date_gmt":"2021-02-08T13:55:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/rilesandwoolleyfuneralhome.com\/?p=2137"},"modified":"2021-02-08T08:55:47","modified_gmt":"2021-02-08T13:55:47","slug":"obituary-notice-phyllis-kohler","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rilesandwoolleyfuneralhome.com\/?p=2137","title":{"rendered":"Obituary Notice &#8211; Phyllis Kohler"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/rilesandwoolleyfuneralhome.com\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/KohlerP.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-2138\" src=\"https:\/\/rilesandwoolleyfuneralhome.com\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/KohlerP-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"101\" height=\"135\" srcset=\"https:\/\/rilesandwoolleyfuneralhome.com\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/KohlerP-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/rilesandwoolleyfuneralhome.com\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/KohlerP.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 101px) 100vw, 101px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>SILVER CREEK:&nbsp; Phyllis Kohler, 80, of Monroe Street, Silver Creek, died Friday, February 5th, 2021 at St. Vincent Health Center, Erie, PA, following COVID induced pneumonia.&nbsp; She was born in Brocton, on June 16, 1940, the daughter of the late Anthony and Frances (Giordano) Syracuse.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; Phyllis was a graduate of Brocton Central School, Class of 1958 and attended college in Alfred.&nbsp; After attending college, while working at the former Niagara Therapy in Brocton, she met John &#8220;Jack&#8221; Kohler and married him 60 years ago on October 29, 1960 in the Zion Lutheran Church, Silver Creek.&nbsp; She also worked as an Executive Secretary for the former St. Columban&#8217;s Retreat Center in Silver Creek &amp; Derby, for 30 years.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; Phyllis was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Farnham.&nbsp; She was a very selfless, intelligent and hardworking person.&nbsp; She loved to read, cook, watch Jeopardy and travel.&nbsp; Phyllis especially enjoyed being with her husband, family and grandchildren.&nbsp; She also had a strong faith in God.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp; Surviving besides her husband are two sons John T. (Bethany) Kohler, Andrew C.
