FORESTVILLE:\u00a0 Alvin A. Tatchell, 74, of South Dayton\/Silver Creek Road, Forestville, died Wednesday, April 25th, at Heritage Village Skilled Nursing Facility, Gerry.\u00a0 He was born in the Town of Dayton, on January 11, 1938, the son of the late Allen and Mary (Howard) Tatchell.<\/p>\n
Mr. Tatchell was a graduate of the former Pine Valley High School, Class of 1955, worked for the former Muench Tanning Factory in Gowanda for 30 years, retiring in 1985, at one time owned & operated the former Forest Lanes Bowling Alley in Forestville and also worked as a Custom Picture Framer for both the former Gazebo in Fredonia and from 1999-2003 he worked for The Paper Factory.\u00a0 Mr. Tatchell enjoyed bowling- where he was a Junior Bowling Instructor for many years, fishing, camping and woodworking- which included making many wooden lawn ornaments.<\/p>\n
Survivors include three daughters, Tane (Rod) Rogers, Teri (Keith) Fish, both of Forestville, Toni Kelley, of Silver Creek, two step sons Michael (Amy) Johnson and Jason Johnson, both of Forestville, two sisters, Donna Brittain, of Kentucky, Barbara Dorman, of Jamestown and a brother, Doug (Linda) Tatchell, of Forestville.\u00a0 Also surviving are 8 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter and several nieces & nephews.\u00a0 Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife Marleah Johnson who died April 14, 2011.<\/p>\n
Family & Friends are welcome to visit at the home of Tane & Rod Rogers, 10533 Empire Road, Forestville this Saturday, April 28, 2012, from 2-6 pm. The family suggests memorial donations may be made to the Forestville Fire Dept. Emergency & Rescue Squad, Chestnut Street, Forestville, NY 14062.<\/p>\n
