Olmstead, Jr., 49, of Versailles Road, Irving, died unexpectedly, Tuesday, April 24th, at UPMC Hamot Medical Center, Erie, PA.\u00a0 He was born in Silver Creek on August 12, 1962, the son of the late Donald R. Olmstead, Sr. and Mary (Simpson) Sutter.<\/p>\n<p>He worked as a Diesel Mechanic for Hauling Freight Lines, Angola, for 19 1\/2 years.\u00a0 Mr. Olmstead was a past member of the &#8220;Woodcutters&#8221; Bowling Team at the former Forest Lanes Bowling Alley in Forestville.\u00a0 He enjoyed hunting, fishing, farm equipment, outdoor activities and spending time with his children &amp; grandchildren.<\/p>\n<p>Survivors include a daughter, Brandy L. Olmstead, a son, Joseph C. Olmstead, both of Irving,\u00a0 three sisters, Laurie Gallivan, of Silver Creek,\u00a0 Amy McCoy, of Fredonia, Angel Lutgen, of Sherman, a brother, Daniel (Kelly) Olmstead, of Forestville, a step brother, Gary Sutter, of Forestville, two step sisters, Diane (Jim) Andrews, of Erie, PA and Cindy (Chris) Parke, of Smith Mills.\u00a0 Also surviving are 3 grandchildren McKayla Ann Olmstead, Mason Olmstead and Joshua Guadagno, lifelong friend Sandra Mahle of Forestville and several cousins, nieces &amp; nephews.\u00a0 Besides his parents he was predeceased by his step father William C. Sutter.<\/p>\n<p>Friends are welcome to call at the Riles &amp; Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Sunday from 2-4 &amp; 7-9 pm, from where Funeral Services will be held Monday morning at 11 o&#8217;clock, with Rev. James D. Hankey, pastor of the Forestville United Methodist Church, officiating.<\/p>\n<p>The family suggests memorial donations may be made either to the Silver Creek Fire Dept.
