McGarvey"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Monsey, NY:&nbsp; Charles F. McGarvey, 77, of Monsey, NY passed away Thursday, October 29th, 2020 at Engelwood Health, in Engelwood, NJ.&nbsp; He was born in Bronx, NY on July 28, 1943, the son of the late George F. and Mary E. (McCurdy) McGarvey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp; Mr. McGarvey worked as a Service Technician for XEROX in Manhattan, NY, for 30 years.&nbsp; He was a longtime friend of Bill W., a Ham operator &#8220;N2HIG&#8221;, a member of the Rockland County Emergency Management Team and the Rockland County Historical Society.&nbsp; Mr. McGarvey was an avid Computer pioneer and he loved traveling to Germany to visit his family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp; Survivors include a daughter, Christine (Sean) Gibson, of Forestville; two sons Michael McGarvey, of Straubing, Germany; James McGarvey, of Munich, Germany; a sister, Suzanne McGarvey, of Bronx, NY; and a brother, Robert (Ann) McGarvey, of Holbrook, NY.&nbsp; Also surviving are several grandchildren, several great grandchildren and his beloved cats &#8220;Daisy&#8221; and &#8220;Shayna&#8221;.&nbsp; Besides his parents he was predeceased by his loving companion Eleanor Jacobson of Monsey, NY.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp; A Memorial Service will be held at A later date.&nbsp; Time and place to be announced.
