Kirkland"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>FORESTVILLE:\u00a0 Raymond L. Kirkland, 80, of Quarry Road, Forestville, died Tuesday, April 17th, peacefully in his sleep at home.\u00a0 He was born in West Seneca on June 16, 1931, the son of the late Lee and Catherine (Esser) Kirkland.<\/p>\n<p>He served in the U.S. Army as a Corporal in the Korean War and received a Purple Heart.\u00a0 He worked as an Iron Worker for Union Local #6 in Buffalo.\u00a0 He lived in Forestville for 30 years, loved the outdoors and his grandchildren.<\/p>\n<p>Survivors include his wife, of 52 years, Patricia M. (Nowak) Kirkland of Forestville.\u00a0 two sons Mark\u00a0 Kirkland, of Forestville, Matthew Kirkland, of Virginia, two sisters, Marion Frederickson, Rita, and two brothers, Howard and Marty Kirkland.\u00a0 Also surviving are 3 grandchildren, 1 great grandson and several nieces &amp; nephews.\u00a0 Besides his parents he was predeceased by a brother Robert Kirkland and by 2 sisters Dolores Sjyka &amp; Joan.<\/p>\n<p>There will be no visitation or services observed.\u00a0 The family suggests memorial donations may be made to the Forestville Fire Dept.
