GOWANDA:\u00a0 Doris I. Waters, 95, a resident of Gowanda Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, Gowanda, formerly of South Dayton and Palmetto, Florida, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 14th, at her residence.\u00a0 She was born in South Dayton on February 28, 1917, the daughter of the late Charles F. Seileman and Mayme A. (Miller) Seileman Brown.<\/p>\n
She was a graduate of the former South Dayton High School, Class of 1934 and worked as a clerk for the former Bernard Simon’s Store in South Dayton, for 20 years.<\/p>\n
Survivors include a daughter, Janice (Glenn) Scott, of Pope Haven, Randolph & Palmetto, FL, 4 grandchildren- Jacolyn (Stanley) Dybka of Cherry Creek, Vicki (Keith) Giraud of Middletown, NY, Randall (Julie) Scott of Cherry Creek and Douglas Smith & Stephen Kolodziejewski of Mt. Laurel, NJ, 10 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.\u00a0 Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Alvin Waters, whom she married Sept. 19, 1936 in South Dayton and who died February 27, 1997, by a daughter Diane Smith, who died April 19, 1999, by a granddaughter Robin Confora who died January 26, 1991 and by 3 sisters.<\/p>\n
There will be no visitation observed.\u00a0 Private Graveside Services will be held at the convenience of the family in Villenova Cemetery, South Dayton.<\/p>\n
The family suggests memorials be made to South Dayton Fire Dept.
