{"id":1960,"date":"2020-07-16T05:56:38","date_gmt":"2020-07-16T09:56:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/rilesandwoolleyfuneralhome.com\/?p=1960"},"modified":"2020-07-16T05:57:35","modified_gmt":"2020-07-16T09:57:35","slug":"obituary-notice-mary-jane-brennan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rilesandwoolleyfuneralhome.com\/?p=1960","title":{"rendered":"Obituary Notice &#8211; Mary Jane Brennan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/rilesandwoolleyfuneralhome.com\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/BrennanM.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft  wp-image-1961\" alt=\"BrennanM\" src=\"https:\/\/rilesandwoolleyfuneralhome.com\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/BrennanM-300x272.jpeg\" width=\"77\" height=\"70\" srcset=\"https:\/\/rilesandwoolleyfuneralhome.com\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/BrennanM-300x272.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/rilesandwoolleyfuneralhome.com\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/BrennanM.jpeg 729w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 77px) 100vw, 77px\" \/><\/a>SILVER CREEK:\u00a0 Mary Jane Brennan, of Versailles Road, Silver Creek, died Tuesday, July 14th, 2020 at the Chautauqua Nursing &amp; Rehabilitation Center, Dunkirk, following a lengthy illness.<\/p>\n<p>She was born in Buffalo, on March 14, 1926, the daughter of the late Edwin Leopold and Mary Elizabeth (Fulcher) Winstel.\u00a0 She graduated from high school and attended Business College in Buffalo.<\/p>\n<p>On a vacation weekend to Sunset Bay, Mary and her girlfriends flagged down an Army Private and that led to a long distance romance with Chuck Brennan.\u00a0 They were married on April 6, 1946 in Silver Creek.\u00a0 During her life, she was a member of the Business and Professional Women (BPW), Home Bureau, and various Methodist Women&#8217;s organizations.<\/p>\n<p>Mary worked on the farm and raised one daughter and four sons.\u00a0 Most of all she will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.\u00a0 Mary loved cooking and baking for her family and friends.\u00a0 She was kind compassionate and loyal.\u00a0 Her children and family will miss her sharp wit, but most of all her unconditional love.\u00a0 The family would like to extend a special thank you to all that cared for our mother with kindness, patience and loving care at the Chautauqua Nursing &amp; Rehabilitation Center and a most special thank you to HOSPICE for their loving care given to our family and our mother.<\/p>\n<p>Survivors include a daughter, Linda (Robert) Halenkamp, of Sachse, TX; four sons Paul (Pia Doro) Brennan, of Angola; Stephen (Lisa) Brennan, of Silver Creek; Richard (Nita) Brennan, of Silver Creek; David (Kim) Brennan, of Cuero, TX; and a brother, Edwin (Betty) Winstel, of Canton, Michigan. Also surviving are thirteen grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and several nieces &amp; nephews.\u00a0 Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Charles Walter Brennan, who died December 26, 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Friends are welcome to call at Riles &amp; Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Sunday afternoon from 1-3 PM, where Funeral Services will be held at 3 o&#8217;clock with Rev. Thomas Pollock and Rev.
