Popard"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>FORESTVILLE:\u00a0 Roy D. Popard, 80, of King Road, Forestville, died unexpectedly Wednesday, June 17th, 2020 at Mercy Hospital of Buffalo.\u00a0 He was born in the Town of Hanover, on March 17, 1940, the son of the late Robert and Florence (Hoffer) Popard.<\/p>\n<p>Roy worked as a Truck Driver for Gernatt Asphalt Products, Inc. in Collins, for 35 years.\u00a0 He enjoyed woodworking, gardening and doing property maintenance.<\/p>\n<p>Survivors include his wife Susan K. Popard of Forestville, a son, Michael Popard, of Forestville; and two sisters, Jean Blakely and Eleanore Murray.\u00a0 Also surviving are three grandchildren Nathan Popard, Steven Lock and Peyton Popard.\u00a0 Besides his parents he was predeceased by a daughter Marcy L. Popard, who died May 20, 2020.<\/p>\n<p>A Private Funeral Service will be held from Riles &amp; Woolley Funeral Home in Forestville, with Rev. Michael Pollock pastor of Gage Chapel Community Church, officiating.\u00a0 Interment will follow in Balltown Cemetery, Town of Hanover.\u00a0 A Public Memorial Service will be held at a later date in conjunction with his daughter Marcy.\u00a0 Time and place will be announced.<\/p>\n<p>The family suggests memorials may be made to Gage Chapel Community Church, % Connie Piccolo, Treas., 1 Burgess Street, Silver Creek, NY 14136.<\/p>\n<p>To send condolences or memories go to www.rilesandwoolleyfuneralhome.com.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>FORESTVILLE:\u00a0 Roy D.
