{"id":1922,"date":"2020-04-24T06:01:33","date_gmt":"2020-04-24T10:01:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/rilesandwoolleyfuneralhome.com\/?p=1922"},"modified":"2020-04-24T06:01:33","modified_gmt":"2020-04-24T10:01:33","slug":"obituary-notice-myrna-jane-moss","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rilesandwoolleyfuneralhome.com\/?p=1922","title":{"rendered":"Obituary Notice &#8211; Myrna Jane Moss"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SOUTH DAYTON:\u00a0 Myrna Jane Moss, 81, of Cottage Road, South Dayton, passed away Thursday, April 23rd, 2020, peacefully at home with her husband by her side.\u00a0 She was born in Warren, PA on September 2, 1938, the daughter of the late Clarence and Mary (Dutton) Hanson.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Moss was a graduate of Pompano Beach High School, Pompano Beach, Florida, Class of 1956 and worked as a Cafeteria Worker for Forestville Central School for 10 years retiring in 1995. She formerly co-owned &amp; operated Moss Acres Ayrshire Farm of South Dayton and was a delivery person for Meals on Wheels, South Dayton.\u00a0 Mrs. Moss was a member of the former Perrysburg United Methodist Church and a member of the Forestville United Methodist Church.\u00a0 She was a former member of several farming organizations and a former founder &amp; board member of Love in the Name of Christ in Gowanda for 19 years.\u00a0 Mrs. Moss also served on the Cottage Cemetery Board for 22 years.<\/p>\n<p>Survivors include her husband of 62 years, William H. Moss, Jr., whom she married November 2, 1957, in the former Perrysburg United Methodist Church, three sons William (Joanne) Moss, III, of South Dayton; V. Patrick Moss, of Ellington; Glen (Tina) Moss, of Ripley; two daughters, Judith Waszczuk, of Elk Grove Village, IL; Valerie (Patrick) Deegan, of Medina, NY; a sister, Lysbeth (Lance) Farnsworth, of Kane, PA. and sister-in-law Dorothy Hanson of Graniteville, SC, Also surviving are nine grandchildren- Benjamin (Danielle) Moss, Sarah (Nathan) Nickerson, David Moss, Amanda (Andrew) Hedden, Lauren (Chris) Wystup, Glen (Fara) Moss, Jr., Olivia Waszczuk, Clara Moss and Heidi Moss, six great grandchildren and several nieces &amp; nephews.\u00a0 Besides her parents she was predeceased by a daughter-in-law Sarah Diane (Lundmark) Moss and two brothers David &amp; John C. Hanson.<\/p>\n<p>A Private Funeral Service for the family will be held from Riles &amp; Woolley Funeral Home in Forestville and interment will be in Cottage Cemetery, Town of Dayton.\u00a0 A Memorial Service for the public will be held at a later date.\u00a0 Time and place to be announced.<\/p>\n<p>In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made either to Chautauqua Hospice &amp; Palliative Care, 20 W.
