Wassell, 66, of Spring City, TN, formerly of Forestville, died Saturday, January 11th, 2020 in Tennessee.\u00a0 He was born in Buffalo, on January 24, 1953, the son of the late James and Constance (Madill) Wassell.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Wassell was a graduate of Westfield Academy Central School, Class of 1973 and worked as a Custodian for Forestville Central School Forestville, for 40 years.\u00a0 He was a lifetime member &amp; past chief of the Forestville Fire Department and was a member of the Chautauqua County Fireman&#8217;s Fraternity, where he was a caretaker and served as an officer.\u00a0 Mr. Wassell had a love for the Lord and attended Word of Truth Church in Dayton, TN.\u00a0 He collected trains and loved camping.<\/p>\n<p>Survivors include his wife Dianne R. (DeGolier) Wassell, whom he married May 28, 1977, in the Forestville Baptist Church, four sons Corey (Charity) Wassell, of Dayton, TN; Benjamin (Jacqueline) Wassell, of Silver Creek; Christopher Wassell, of Auburndale, FL; Jason (Shannon) Gonzalez, of Silver Creek; three brothers, Richard Wassell, Daniel (Beth) Wassell, Michael Wassell three sisters, Joann (William) Johnson, Donna (Gary) Bowers, Cindy (John Klein) Laemmerhirt.\u00a0 Also surviving are ten grandchildren Brooke, Claire, Jayden, Noah, Elizabeth, Alexander, Jeremiah, Amelia, Julianna and Gabriel.<\/p>\n<p>Friends are welcome to call at Riles &amp; Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Friday from 2-4 &amp; 7-9 PM.\u00a0 A Memorial Service will be held Saturday afternoon from the First Baptist Church SBC, Main Street, Silver Creek, at 1 o&#8217;clock, with Dr. Chip Beaulieu, officiating.<\/p>\n<p>A private Fireman&#8217;s service will be held for the family in the funeral home.<\/p>\n<p>The family suggests memorials may be made to Forestville Fire Dept.
