{"id":1867,"date":"2020-01-10T06:07:57","date_gmt":"2020-01-10T11:07:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/rilesandwoolleyfuneralhome.com\/?p=1867"},"modified":"2020-01-10T06:07:57","modified_gmt":"2020-01-10T11:07:57","slug":"obituary-notice-susan-maureen-galley","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rilesandwoolleyfuneralhome.com\/?p=1867","title":{"rendered":"Obituary Notice &#8211; Susan Maureen Galley"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/rilesandwoolleyfuneralhome.com\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/GalleyS-Web.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft  wp-image-1868\" alt=\"GalleyS Web\" src=\"https:\/\/rilesandwoolleyfuneralhome.com\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/GalleyS-Web-203x300.jpg\" width=\"58\" height=\"86\" srcset=\"https:\/\/rilesandwoolleyfuneralhome.com\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/GalleyS-Web-203x300.jpg 203w, https:\/\/rilesandwoolleyfuneralhome.com\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/GalleyS-Web-694x1024.jpg 694w, https:\/\/rilesandwoolleyfuneralhome.com\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/GalleyS-Web.jpg 695w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 58px) 100vw, 58px\" \/><\/a>FORESTVILLE:\u00a0 Susan Maureen (Powalski) Galley, 72, passed in peace Wednesday, January 8th, 2020, at her residence.\u00a0 She was born in Buffalo, on February 16, 1947, the daughter of the late Richard and Marjorie (Biscup) Powalski.<\/p>\n<p>Susan worked as a Director of Faith Formation at Holy Trinity RC Church, Dunkirk.\u00a0 In addition to serving numerous roles in her church and in healthcare, Susan loved crocheting blankets for her family, needle point and reading.\u00a0 She had a passion for education, pursuing many degrees throughout her life with her ultimate achievement obtaining a Masters of Theology.\u00a0 Susan spent countless hours sharing her love of God by educating children and by her active involvement in the church community.\u00a0 She was also a Religious Counselor for the Boy Scouts.<\/p>\n<p>Survivors include the love of her life and her devoted husband of 50 years, John W. Galley, Jr., whom she married on May 31, 1969.\u00a0 She was the beloved mother of John (Cecelia) Galley, Amy (William) Heller, Brett (Kathryn) Galley, Scott (Jennifer) Galley, Tamara (John) Benedetti, Keith (Erin) Galley, Adam (Dalia) Galley and Mathieu (Erin) Galley.\u00a0 She was an adoring grandmother to twelve grandchildren.\u00a0 Besides her parents she was predeceased by an infant son Keith Christopher Galley and a brother Mark Powalski.<\/p>\n<p>Friends are welcome to call at the Gathering Room in St. Joseph RC Church, 145 East Main Street, Fredonia on Saturday morning from 9 AM to 12 noon, from where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 noon, with Rev. Joseph Walter and Rev.
