Sticek (Updated)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SOUTH DAYTON:\u00a0 Marilyn E. Sticek, 66, of Mosher Road, South Dayton, died unexpectedly Tuesday, November 5th, 2019, at Buffalo General Hospital.\u00a0 She was born in Niagara Falls, NY on April 6, 1953, the daughter of Marion (Congdon) Sticek, of Silver Creek and the late John C. Sticek.<\/p>\n<p>Ms. Sticek was a graduate of Gowanda Central School, was the former owner of D&amp;F Hairfashions in Dunkirk and worked for the United States Postal Service in Forestville, as Postmaster from 1991-2009 and previously in Dayton, retiring after 30 years of service.\u00a0 She was Past President of the Bills Backers International, ran the &#8220;Sauces for Soldiers&#8221; non-profit organization, she &amp; her husband Jeff were founders of Burning Asphalt Sauces, was a member of the DAR, many area Legions, VFW&#8217;s &amp; Moose Lodges.\u00a0 Ms. Sticek also helped organize the Forestville Bi-Centennial.\u00a0 She enjoyed restoring Vintage Campers, building &amp; doing home restorations and loved traveling &amp; going RV-ing.<\/p>\n<p>Survivors include her husband Jeffrey A. Furash, of South Dayton, whom she married in Cottage, in 2003, two daughters, Robin Zeman, of Hampton, VA; Marjorie Hicks, of Springville; a son, Brian (Lori) Zeman, of Sarasota, FL; two sisters, Elaine (Art) Nagel, of South Dayton; Cindy (Robert) Silagyi, of Cherry Creek; two brothers, Skip (Linda) Sticek, of South Dayton; Monty (Julie) Sticek, of Fredonia.\u00a0 Also surviving are three grandchildren- Krystel Rae, Dee Jay Rogers &amp; Andrew Hicks, two great grandchildren Lillie &amp; Riley and several nieces &amp; nephews.<\/p>\n<p>There will be no visitation observed.\u00a0 A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, December 14 at 11 o\u2019clock from the Riles &amp; Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville with Rev. Bruce Ellis, pastor of the Forestville Wesleyan Church, officiating.\u00a0 Interment will follow in Cottage Cemetery<\/p>\n<p>The family suggests memorial donations may be made to two of her favorite charities the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675 or Roswell Park Alliance Foundation, Roswell Park Cancer Institute, PO Box 631, Buffalo, NY 14240-0631.<\/p>\n<p>Arrangements are by Riles &amp; Woolley Funeral Home, Forestville.\u00a0 To post condolences go to www.rilesandwoolleyfuneralhome.com.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SOUTH DAYTON:\u00a0 Marilyn E.
