GREENHURST:\u00a0 Mary L. Hall, 82, of Sheldon Hall Rd. Ext. Greenhurst, NY, formerly of Forestville, died Monday, March 12th, at the Chautauqua County Home, Dunkirk.\u00a0 She was born in the Town of Pomfret, on July 14, 1929, the daughter of the late Lester E. and Dorothy (Dalrymple) Deering.<\/p>\n
Mrs. Hall was a graduate of Forestville Central School, Class of 1947 and was a graduate of the former Jamestown School of Nursing.\u00a0 She had worked as an LPN for Brooks Memorial Hospital, in the Medical Surgical Unit, for 20 years retiring in 1987.\u00a0\u00a0 Mrs. Hall was a former member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Dunkirk, was a member of the Pioneer Social Club of Forestville, was an avid reader, bird watcher and enjoyed flower gardening.<\/p>\n
Survivors include a daughter, Cheryl L. (Thomas) MacKinder, of San Antonio, TX and Greenhurst, NY, three sons Carter L. (Molly) Hall, of Southside, AL, Curtis L. Hall, of Forestville and Craig L. Hall, of Greenhurst, a sister, Gladys (Oscar) Nichols, of Ransomville, NY and a brother, Louis (Maxine) Deering, of Sheridan.\u00a0 Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.\u00a0 Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Clyde L. Hall, who died January 17, 1983, by 2 brothers Leonard and David Deering and by 1 sister Phyllis Jean Deering.\u00a0 There will be no visitation observed.<\/p>\n
Memorial Services will be held Tuesday morning, July 3, 2012, from Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville, at 11 o’clock.\u00a0 Interment will be at convenience of the family in Forestville Cemetery.\u00a0 The family suggests memorials be made to American Cancer Society, 101 John J. Audubon Parkway, or to the American Heart Association, 20 Northpointe, Suite 130 Amherst, NY 14228, or to HOSPICE Chautauqua County, Inc. 20 W.
