Pfleuger, 100, a resident of Chautauqua Nursing &amp; Rehab Center, Dunkirk, formerly of Sheridan, died Sunday, June 16th, 2019 at her residence.\u00a0 She was born in London, England on February 7, 1919, the daughter of the late Albany and Agnes (Watts) Renton.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Pfleuger was a graduate of Pensionnat des Ursulines in Brant, Belgium and the London Greg Business College.\u00a0 She spent her early childhood years in British Papau, New Guinea, came to the US in 1946 as a British WWII war bride and received her citizenship in 1948.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Pfleuger was a war veteran of the British Army, serving in East Coastal Defense Batteries of the Royal Artillery.\u00a0 She was the first woman elected to the Silver Creek Village Board of Trustees, where she served as Deputy Mayor for 4 years.\u00a0 Mrs. Pfleuger was also the first appointed Municipal Historian for the Village of Silver Creek, serving for 20 years.<\/p>\n<p>Survivors include a son, Terry (Gail) Pfleuger, of Sheridan, four grandchildren Amy Jo Unger, Cindy Bauszus, Lisa Gifert, Ellen Taberski and thirteen great grandchildren.\u00a0 Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Lester M.
