Sherman, 77, of South Dayton\/Silver Creek Road, Forestville, died Thursday, April 18th, 2019 at Erie County Medical Center, Buffalo.\u00a0 She was born in the Village of Gowanda, on February 9, 1942, the daughter of the late Colin A. and Eleanor (Boyes) MacDonald.<\/p>\n<p>She was a graduate of Pine Valley Central School, Class of 1960.\u00a0 Mrs. Sherman worked as a Developmental Aide for the former JN Adam Developmental Center, Perrysburg, for 25 years, based at the Villenova IRA in South Dayton.\u00a0 She was an active member of the Dunkirk First United Methodist Church, serving on many committees including Willow Mission.\u00a0 An active member of Collins Center Seniors, with whom she &amp; best friend, Betty Cowan, went on many trips including Branson, MO &amp; New Orleans, LA, Life member of Pine Valley VFW Post #2522, Ladies Auxiliary, Cherry Creek and Honorary member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch #375, Richmond Hill, Ontario Canada.\u00a0 Mrs. Sherman loved to read, make quilts, doing crossword puzzles, baking &amp; scrapbooking.\u00a0 She also loved antique cars, especially her 1967 Mustang.<\/p>\n<p>Survivors include three daughters, Tane (Rod) Rogers, and Teri (Keith) Fish, both of Forestville; Toni L. Kelley, of Silver Creek; a step son, Jeremy Sherman, of Florida; and a sister, Sharon Kelly, of Forestville.\u00a0 Also surviving are 3 granddaughters Samantha Austin of Fredonia, Kaitlin Fish of Silver Creek, Hannah Fish of Forestville, step granddaughter Keely (Jack) O&#8217;Connor, great granddaughter Kira, great grandson Tucker, 3 step great grandchildren Mason, Duffy &amp; Ella, 4 nephews, 1 niece, 11 great nieces &amp; nephews, 11 great-great nieces &amp; nephews and her beloved cat &#8220;Frankie&#8221;.\u00a0 Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Robert L. Sherman, whom she married on March 17, 1989 in Las Vegas at the Little White Chapel and who died September 29, 2000, by 3 sisters Jean Ann Blair, Mona M. Moore, Collen Huff and a niece Linda Peterson.<\/p>\n<p>Friends are welcome to call at Riles &amp; Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Tuesday from 10-12 noon, from where Funeral Services will follow at 12 noon, with Judith Cole, officiating.\u00a0 Interment will follow in Villenova Cemetery, South Dayton.<\/p>\n<p>The family suggests memorial donations may be made either to the First United Methodist Church, 15 East 6th Street, Dunkirk, NY 14048 or to Sjogrens Syndrome Foundation, 10701 Parkridge Blvd, Suite 170, Reston, VA 20191.\u00a0 To post condolences go to www.rilesandwoolleyfuneralhome.com.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>FORESTVILLE:\u00a0 JoEllen M.
