Vara, 87, a resident of Dunkirk Rehabilitation &amp; Nursing Center, formerly of Silver Creek, passed away Tuesday, December 4th, 2018 at her residence.\u00a0 She was born in Angola, on July 9, 1931, the daughter of the late Louis and Leola (Smith) Small.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Vara graduated from the former Angola School, with honors.\u00a0 She was a Homemaker all her life.\u00a0 Mrs. Vara was a former member of the Silver Creek Senior Citizens and enjoyed playing Bingo and participating in Flea Markets.<\/p>\n<p>Survivors include a daughter, Renee Timmerman, of Fredonia; a son, Charles Vara, of Silver Creek; two brothers, Louis Small, of Angola; and Jerry Small.\u00a0 Also surviving are four grandchildren- Aimee Glapa, Matthew Timmerman, Charles J. Vara, Connor Vara, great grandchildren Nicholas &amp; Nathan Glapa and several nieces &amp; nephews.\u00a0 Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Charles L. Vara, whom she married on September 25, 1954 in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel RC Church, Silver Creek and who died in 1983, a brother Milford Small and two sisters Arlene Burnett and Sylvia Lietz Julian.<\/p>\n<p>Friends are welcome to call at Riles &amp; Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Saturday morning, December 8th, from 10 am to 12 pm, where a Memorial Service will follow at 12 pm, with Rev.
