Brown, 88, a resident of Chautauqua Nursing &amp; Rehabilitation Center, Dunkirk, formerly of Forestville, passed away Tuesday, December 26th, 2017 at Brooks Memorial Hospital.\u00a0 She was born in Dunkirk, on January 19, 1929, the daughter of the late Stanley and Florence A. (Majewski) Suski.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Brown was a graduate of Dunkirk High School, Class of 1946 and she and her late husband owned and operated a Fruit and Grape Farm.\u00a0 She was a member of St. Anthony&#8217;s RC Church, Fredonia and a former member of the St. John Bosco Rosary &amp; Altar Society, Sheridan.\u00a0 Mrs. Brown was a former 4-H leader and was an excellent baker and cook.\u00a0 She enjoyed tending to her rose garden, playing cards and attending the casinos.\u00a0 Mrs. Brown especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.<\/p>\n<p>Survivors include six daughters, Debra (Roy) Rogers, of Hinesville, GA; Donna Brown, of Newark, NY; Amy (John) Rosekrans, of Clifton Springs, NY; Fay (Michael) Hamernik, of Fredonia; Sally (Paul) Crist, of Forestville; Mindy (Doug) Brown, of Fredonia; and a sister, Dorothy Miller, of Novato, CA.\u00a0 Also surviving are 9 grandchildren: Summer (Todd) Buerger, Joshua (Maria) Rogers, Amber (Ryan) Rosekrans, Nathan Rosekrans, Phillip (Jennifer) Tarnowski, Derek Hamernik, Rhian (Joshua) Hawley, Megan (Jon) Crist, MacKenzie Crist and 10 great grandchildren: Ricardo, Jacob, Ava, Jaxson, Samuel, Olivia, Aiden, Mason, Miles and Jace.\u00a0 Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Donald J. Brown, whom she married on February 11, 1950 in St. Hyacinth RC Church, Dunkirk and who died on October 18, 1988, by 3 sisters Florence C. Suski, Rita Czarnecki, Loretta Rybij and a brother Stanley &#8220;Rusty&#8221; Suski.<\/p>\n<p>A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at on Saturday, June 2nd, 2018 at 11 am, from St. Anthony Padua R.C. Church, 42 Orchard Street, Fredonia, with Rev. Joseph Walter officiating.\u00a0 Interment will be at the convenience of the family in St. Joseph Cemetery, Fredonia.<\/p>\n<p>The family suggests memorials may be made either to St. Jude Children&#8217;s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to the Alzheimer&#8217;s Association WNY Chapter, 2805 Wehrle Drive, Suite 6, Williamsville, NY 14221.\u00a0 Arrangements are by Riles &amp; Woolley Funeral Home, Forestville.\u00a0 To post condolences go to www.rilesandwoolleyfuneralhome.com.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>DUNKIRK:\u00a0 Stella A.
