FORESTVILLE:\u00a0 Benjamin F. Bradigan, 84, of Pearl Street, Forestville, passed away Thursday, December 28th, 2017 at TLC\/HN-Lake Shore Hospital, Irving, following a lengthy illness. \u00a0He was born in Jamestown, on January 24, 1933, the son of the late Floyd and Mildred (VanVlack) Bradigan.<\/p>\n
He was a graduate of Forestville Central School, Class of 1951 and a graduate of Syracuse School of Nursing, as an RN.\u00a0 Mr. Bradigan worked as a Nurse Administrator for the former JN Adam Developmental Center, Perrysburg, for 35 1\/2 yrs. and also worked for the former Gowanda Psychiatric Center in Helmuth.<\/p>\n
He was a former member of Tri-County Country Club, Forestville and the Gowanda Moose Lodge #1382.\u00a0 Mr. Bradigan enjoyed playing baseball, bowling, golf and many other sports.<\/p>\n
Survivors include his wife Linda L. (Wilcox) Bradigan of Forestville, whom he married on October 10, 1986, in the First Presbyterian Church, Gowanda, two daughters, Bonnie Bradigan, of California; Beverly Bradigan, of Asheville, NC; two step daughters, Lori (Jeffrey) Menoff, of Gowanda; Susan Chiodo, of Cattaraugus; two step sons Gregory Joubert, of Belleville, IL; Bradley (Melissa) Joubert, of Matthews, NC; and a sister, Edith (Raymond) Beck, of Irving.\u00a0 Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.\u00a0 Besides his parents he was predeceased by 2 sisters Jenny Farnham, Florabel Majeske and 4 brothers Clyde “Sharkey”, Floyd John, Neal and Mark R. Bradigan.<\/p>\n
Funeral Services are private and at the convenience of family. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Forestville Cemetery.<\/p>\n
The family suggests memorials may be made to Forestville Fire Dept. Emergency & Rescue Squad, PO Box 299, Forestville, NY 14062.<\/p>\n
