Hahn, 78, of Water Street, Forestville, died Sunday, December 24th, 2017 at his residence, following a lengthy illness.\u00a0 He was born in Buffalo on May 9, 1939, the son of the late Frederick and Berle (Valentine) Hahn.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Hahn served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, worked for the former Republic Steel in South Park, as a Laborer and worked as a Carpenter for the former L.G. Hall Building Contractor, Inc. Forestville.<\/p>\n<p>He was a member of J. Carter Knapp American Legion Post #953, Forestville.\u00a0 Mr. Hahn enjoyed hunting and fishing, which is a love he shared with his sons.\u00a0 He also loved working with wood, sharing many of his projects with family &amp; friends.\u00a0 Mr. Hahn enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, especially attending his granddaughter&#8217;s sporting events and hunting with his step grandsons.<\/p>\n<p>Survivors include his wife Judith M. (Gestwicki) Hahn, of Forestville, whom he married February 5, 1966, in St. Rose of Lima RC Church, Forestville, two sons Daniel (Marcy) Hahn, of Cassadaga; Jeff (Cindy) Hahn, of Forestville; and a twin sister Doris Hahn of Orchard Park.\u00a0 Also surviving are a granddaughter Alyssa Hahn, two step grandsons Scott Walters, Sr. &amp; Dylan Walters, a step great grandson Scott Walters, Jr. and several nieces &amp; nephews.\u00a0 Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brother Arthur E. Hahn and a step grandson Todd &#8220;TJ&#8221; Walters, Jr.<\/p>\n<p>There will be no visitation observed.\u00a0 A Memorial Service will be held Friday morning at 11 o&#8217;clock from Riles and Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville, with Rev. Daniel Fiebelkorn, pastor of Faith Community of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church- St. Rose of Lima, officiating.\u00a0 Military Services will be conducted by members of J. Carter Knapp American Legion Post #953, Forestville in the funeral home, following services.\u00a0 Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Forestville Cemetery.<\/p>\n<p>The family suggests memorials may be made either to Chautauqua Hospice &amp; Palliative Care, 20 W. Fairmount Avenue, Lakewood, NY 14750 or to the Lakeshore Humane Society, 431 E.
