Saller, 96, of West Lake Road, Dunkirk, died Saturday, June 24th, 2017, at his residence, following a short illness.\u00a0 He was born in Los Angeles, CA on November 16, 1920, the son of the late Gustave and Stella (Skowerska) Saller.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Saller was a graduate of Washington High School in Los Angeles, CA, Class of 1940 and attended Cerritos College in Los Angeles, CA.\u00a0 He served in the U.S. Army during WW II, with the Company Battery B in the 78th Infantry. Mr. Saller worked as a Welder for Paducha Marine Ways, Paducha, Kentucky, for 11 years and also worked for the former North American Aviation in Los Angeles, CA, taking special pride in working on both the X15 &amp; Apollo Projects.\u00a0 He enjoyed building RC &amp; Scale models, leather working &amp; reading.<\/p>\n<p>Survivors include two sons Michael Saller, of Dunkirk; Steven (Rose) Saller, Sr., of Forestville, 3 grandchildren Steven (Kelly) Saller, Jr., Lisa (James) Schichtel, Robert (Christina Murphy) Saller, 8 great grandchildren Aly, Aryella, Rylyn and Brysen, Maggie, Alta, Hovey and Adelyn.\u00a0 Also surviving is 1 niece Lois Lane.\u00a0 Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife Mary I. (McCage) Saller, whom he married on May 26, 1945 in Paris, Texas and who died April 24, 2011, 3 infant sons, 2 brothers Henry &amp; Dan Saller and a sister Helen Hamilton.<\/p>\n<p>Friends are welcome to call at Riles &amp; Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Tuesday evening from 7-9 PM from where Funeral Services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1 o&#8217;clock, with Pastor Grace Warren, of the Forestville United Methodist Church, officiating.\u00a0 Interment will follow in Villenova Cemetery, Town of Villenova.\u00a0 Graveside Military Services will be conducted by the J.
