FORESTVILLE:\u00a0 Gail P. Rankin, 78, of Whitaker Road, Forestville, passed away, at her residence, Sunday, August 7th, 2016, surrounded by loved ones.\u00a0 She was born in Dunkirk, on November 16, 1937, the daughter of the late Aloysius and Helen (Bankoski) Allenbrand.<\/p>\n
She had owned a business and had been gainfully employed over the years.\u00a0 Mrs. Rankin was the proud and caring mother to her five children.\u00a0 She was also a devoted and loving grandmother to her six granddaughters, providing wisdom and love.\u00a0 Mrs. Rankin has touched many lives and will be greatly missed.<\/p>\n
Survivors include her five children, Craig Rankin, of Forestville; Marla Carter, of Jamestown; Laura (Jeff) Ball, of Forestville; Sandy Hanley, of Panama; Keith Rankin, of Dunkirk; three sisters, Cecile Pacos, Dorothy Panveralla,Yvonne Karr and a brother, Tony (Diane) Allenbrand.\u00a0 Also surviving are six granddaughters-Kimberly Hanley, Lisa Carter, Natalie Ball, Sara Carter, Angela Carter, Ashley Ball and several nieces & nephews.\u00a0 Besides her parents she was predeceased by her beloved husband Ronald E. Rankin, whom she married on October 19, 1957 and who died February 13, 2015 and her brother Dennis Allenbrand.<\/p>\n
There will be no visitation observed.\u00a0 A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 1 PM on Saturday, August 27th at St. Rose of Lima RC Church, Center Street, Forestville.<\/p>\n
