Shanahan, 59, of Rix Place, Silver Creek, died Friday, June 24th, 2016 at her residence, following a lengthy illness.\u00a0 She was born in Buffalo, on July 28, 1956, the daughter of Deryl (Mahoney) Ruth, of Conewango Valley and the late Ronald Ruth, Sr.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Shanahan was a graduate of South Park High School and worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for Lake Shore Nursing Home for 17 years and for Absolut of Dunkirk, for 10 years.\u00a0 Her grandchildren were her favorite hobby.<\/p>\n<p>Surviving besides her mother are her husband Michael R. Shanahan, of Silver Creek, whom she married on December 5, 1985, in West Seneca, two daughters, Tammi Smith, of Brant; Renee (Brian) Beadle, of Silver Creek; three sons Anthony (Michelle) Pacifici, Aaron (Jessica) Shanahan, Justin Shanahan, all of of Silver Creek; and a half sister, Dawn (Gian) Brown, of Las Vegas, NV. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and several nieces &amp; nephews.\u00a0 Besides her father she was predeceased by a brother Ronald Ruth, Jr.<\/p>\n<p>A Memorial Service will be held from Riles &amp; Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville, Tuesday, July 5th, 2016 at 11 o&#8217;clock.\u00a0 The family suggests memorials may be made to HOSPICE Chautauqua County, Inc. 20 W.
