Hannah, 88, of Bennett State Road, Forestville, died Thursday, April 7th, 2016 at his residence, following a lengthy illness.\u00a0 He was born in Blasdell on September 12, 1927, the son of the late William E. and Gladys (Cox) Hannah.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Hannah served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War and received the Purple Heart.\u00a0 He worked as a BOF Operator for the former Bethlehem Steel Corp. Lackawanna, for 35 years and he also owned &amp; operated a grape farm in Forestville from 1971-2002.\u00a0 Mr. Hannah was a lifetime member of the VFW Post #5798 in Angola.\u00a0 He loved his dogs &amp; farming.<\/p>\n<p>Survivors include three sons, William J. (Diane) Hannah, of Shreveport, LA; Thomas (Bernadette) Hannah, of Elmira; Robert Hannah, of Fredonia; and a brother, Robert (Carrie) Hannah, of Burbank, CA.\u00a0 Also surviving are 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.\u00a0 Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife Blanche A. (Pawlak) Hannah, whom he married November 15, 1957 in Buffalo and who died March 29, 2016, by a son John H. Hannah, who died November 13, 2015 and by a sister Patricia Hannah.<\/p>\n<p>Friends are welcome to call at Riles &amp; Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Monday, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM, from where Prayer Services will be held Tuesday morning at 9:30 followed by A Mass of Christian Burial at 10 o&#8217;clock, from St. Rose of Lima RC Church, Center Street, Forestville, with Rev. Daniel Fiebelkorn officiating.\u00a0 Interment will follow in Pioneer Cemetery Forestville, where Military Graveside Services will be conducted by members of American Legion Post #928, Derby.<\/p>\n<p>The family suggests memorials may be made to Forestville Fire Dept.
