Forestville: David E. Harp, 90, of Hanover Road, Forestville, died Sunday, January 18, 2026 at his residence. He was born in Buffalo on November 17, 1935, the son of the late James and Eunice (Meagley) Harp, Sr.
David was a graduate of Orchard Park Central School, Class of 1953. He worked as a Telephone Repairman for the former NY Bell and then Verizon for 40 years before retiring.
David was the “Honorary” Mayor of Smith Mills. He loved spending time with his family.
Survivors include seven daughters; Cathy Kaicher, “Peggy” Margaret (Doug) Prince, Mary (Ronald) Brennan, Jr., Sandra (Steve) Muck, Barb (Michael) Shields, Beth (Andrew) Fairbanks, Rebecca Harp and two sons; Frank (Marla) Harp, and Kevin (Jennifer) Harp. Also surviving are seventeen grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife Mary Ann (Campion) Harp, whom he married on October 5, 1957 and who died on June 25, 2011, his infant daughter; Anne Mary Harp who died February 17, 1972, a son; Russell “Rusty” Harp who died November 17, 2017, a son-in-law; Jim Kaicher who died May 12, 2012, a grandson; Nicholas Muck who died December 7, 2014 and two brothers; James Harp, Jr. & Paul Harp.
Private Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Smith Mills Cemetery.
