DanielsMFREDONIA:  Mildred E. Daniels, 84, of Fredonia Place, formerly of West Seneca, died Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at the Chautauqua County Home, Dunkirk.  She was born in Decatur, AL on September 1, 1929, the daughter of the late John and Lucy (Hall) Suits.

Mrs. Daniels was an active supporter of the National Kidney Foundation, was founder of the Neighborhood Watch Program in West Seneca and a former Girl Scout Leader.  She enjoyed traveling with her family.

Mother of Thomas (Wendy) Daniels, of Silver Creek, Darlene Teken, of Gardner, MA, Cheryl (Joseph) Zielinski, of Hilton, NY and David (Rosalyn) Daniels, of Milwaukee, WI, sister of Virginia (A.J.) Reed, of Huntsville, AL, Shirley (Bill) Murphree, of Decatur, AL and Linda Wolfe, of Pensacola, FL.  Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, 1 great grandson and several nieces & nephews.  Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Vincent Daniels, whom she married December 29, 1951 in Buffalo and by a brother Thomas Suits.

Friends are welcome to call at the Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9, from where Funeral Services will be held Friday morning at 10 o’clock, with Sue Peacock, officiating.  Interment will be in St. Matthews Cemetery, 180 French Road, West Seneca, NY at 1 o’clock.

The family suggests memorial donations may be made either to the Alzheimer’s Association of WNY, 2805 Wehrle Drive, Suite 6, Williamsville, NY 14221-7380 or to the National Kidney Foundation, Finance Dept., 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016.  To post condolences go to

    Never met Mrs Daniels but we (I) are Joe Zielinski’s first cousin and know Cheryl and the boys. They speek well of the life lived by this lovely lady. May she rest in peace. Babe Charnick & family.
