Obituary Notice- Brian K. Frontuto

FrontutoBGOWANDA:  Brian K. Frontuto, 56, of Allen Street, Gowanda, died Monday, February 3rd, 2014 at Brooks Memorial Hospital, Dunkirk, following a lengthy illness.  He was born in Dunkirk on March 16, 1957, the son of Robert Frontuto, of Forestville and the late Frances (Clark) Frontuto.

He worked as a Plumber & Maintenance Man for Liberatore Plumbing, Blasdell, for 2 years and he had previously worked for Guarcello’s Inc., Silver Creek.  Mr. Frontuto was an avid hunter & fisherman and he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving besides his father is his wife Mary (Homan) Frontuto, of Gowanda, whom he married May 16, 1998, in Forestville, a son, Russell (Kelly) Frontuto, of Luxemburg, WI, two step daughters, Melanie Bartholomew, of North Tonawanda, Rebecca (Bartholomew) Schneider, of Buffalo, son-in-law Joseph Winslow and brother-in-law Brad Homan both of Gowanda and sisters-in-law Susan Davidhazy of Rochester and Barb Dunmire of Springville.  Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.  Besides his mother he was predeceased by 2 brothers Joseph Frontuto and Robert Frontuto, Jr. and by a sister Doris Mead.

Friends are welcome to call at the Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm, from where Funeral Services will be held Saturday morning at 11 o’clock, with Rev. James D. Hankey, pastor of the Forestville United Methodist Church, officiating.  Interment will follow in Evergreen Lawn Cemetery Town of Hanover.

    I send my condolences to Uncle Bob and the family. I am in Florida and will not be able to attend the services. May God be with you during this difficult time.

    I am deeply sorry for your loss. Brian was a big man with an even bigger heart. His smile and his hugs brought in the sunshine even on those dreary days. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your families. Deb Phillips of Fort McCoy, FL.

    I’m sorry for your loss. Brian was a childhood friend. Such a terrible tragedy for the Frontuto family.

    Everybody will certainly miss Brian. I have nice memories of school at Forestville Central. It was so nice to connect back up on the internet. We will see Brian on the other side….
